What do you want to be when you grow up? Norwalk Parks and Rec invites you and your family to come and join us for a free event! An assortment of interesting vehicles, including a police car, fire truck, front-end loader, school bus, tractor and many more, will be available for your child to explore and touch. Date: Saturday, July 26; Time: 9 a.m. - Noon; Location: Norwalk Community High School parking, -rain or shine. YOUTH TRIATHLON CLINIC AND ENTRY EVENT Join us for a one-day clinic and event that will introduce your young athlete to the fast-paced sport of triathlon! Members of the Norwalk Racers, the local triathlon and running club, will educate youth on safety tips, information about swimming, bik- ing and running, and tips for fast transitions. We will close with a very non-competi- tive, fun event allowing participants to utilize some of the skills they learned. All participants must have a bike, age-appropriate helmet, swim goggles and suit, and running shoes with them on the day of the event. A parent or adult's participation is also required, so plan to spend the morning with your child. ADUI T COMMUNITY EDUCATION AT MAIN STREET SCHOOL Once again, the Main Street School will offer various Community Education pro- grams. Home Brewing- Beer Making 101-Back by popular demand. It's time to truly test your skills and give brewing a try. In this class you learn the basics of home beer making from brewing to bottling. This class will run two sessions- the first month to brew, the second to bottle. Each participant will leave with the knowledge to start their own home brewing, a list of supplies and suppliers and, of course, their own six pack of home brew Date: August 12 and September 6; Time: 7-8:30 p.m.; Cost: $30; Limit: 8 individuals. OPALS- SENIOR CITIZEN PROGRAMS (Older People with Active Life Styles) SENIOR CITIZEN EXERCISE Everyone age 55 and older is invited to attend a free exercise program that will include stretching and toning.
