7th Grade Baseball
Summer 2013
The 7th Grade Boys Baseball team ended the season
with 35 players. The Gold team had a record of 9-2-1.
The Black team went 2-2 and the Purp|e went 1-1-1. Also,
the Purple and Black combined the last few games and
went 3-0.
The following 7th Grade Players who participated
this season are as follows: Dean Appleget, Cooper
Beving, Colton Chambers, Brett Chapman, Cooper
Cirksena, Ethan Clark, Jacob Duffy, Jake Elliott, Kobey
Embre) Ryan Fraser, Cameron HaUin, Jordan Hansen,
Clayton Hildreth, Shane Hochstetler, Max Hosier, Nick
Janssen, Blake Johnson, Andrew Kawano, Tyson Knight,
Jarid Leto, Levi Lorenz, Jared Mallet, Riley Mays, John
McCurnin, Cole Patava, Noah Perc Bryce Raso, Drew
Rosonke, Alex Senecaut, Jake Skidmore, Noah St. John,
Luke Vaske, Nick Vasquez, Jace Watrous and Zach Wolff.

promise for future Warrior Baseball Players.

Norwalk Thunder 2013 10U AA State
Boys Baseball Runner-Ups
The Norwalk IOU Thunder Baseball Team earned state runner-up honor in their
age and class division after winning five of six games at the 10U AA state tourna-
ment from June 28-30. In all, nearly 50 AA teams from Iowa competedin this

HERSHEY YOUTH TRACK MEET
Briley Sodergren has been chosen to compete at the Healthy Ideas
National Hershey Youth Track Meet in Hershey, PA,
August 1-4. She is one of five Iowa qualifiers for the (NAPS)--A new websit,

Sodergren is the first Norwalk qualifier in the history
of the event ......
Sodergren receives an all-expenses paid trip to the
national meet including airfare, lodging and accommo-
dations. The Hershey company has an exciting week-
end planned for all participants. The meet will be held
Saturda3 Aug. 3. jeff Lucas, Recreation Supervisor, was
also chosen to be the Iowa Chaperone.
The HERSHEY'S Track & Field Games was founded
35 years ago. It is the largest youth sports program of
its kind in the United States and Canada. Events take
place in every state and most provinces in North
America and hundreds of athletes make it to the grand
finale -- the North American Final in Hershey, Penn-
sylvania.
