RESOLUTION 19-190(B) REMOVAL FROM PAYROLL CONSERVATION BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby approves to remove Rachel Riley, Conservation, Seasonal Part-time, 1tom payroll effective June 14, 2019 with no benefits payable as per the Warren County Personnel Policies. RESOLUTION 19-191 CLOSED SESSION BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby approves to convene closed session according to Iowa Code 20.5(1)(a): "To review or discuss records which are required or authorized by state or federal law to be kept confidential or to be kept confidential as a condition for that governmental body's possession or continued receipt of federal funds." RESOLUTION 19-192 GENERAL ASSISTANCE APPEAL DECISION BE IT RESOLVED THAT, theWarren County Board of Supervisors hereby approves to pay $588.00 for assistance towards lease of land payment. Carried unanimously. RESOLUTION 19-193 WARREN COUNTY HISTORIC PRESERVATION APPOINTMENT BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby approves appointment of Mick Kreidler to Warren County Historic Preservation Board. 2 Ayes SupervisOr Shull - Nay RESOLUTION 19-194 PROGRAM OF WEED CONTROL BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF WARREN COUNTY THAT PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 317, CODE OF IOWA, IT IS ORDERED: That each owner and each person in the possession or control of any lands in Warren County, shall cut, burn, or otherwise destroy all Noxious Weeds thereon, as defined in this Chapter, at such time in each year and in such manner as shall prevent said weeks from blooming or coming to maturity, and shall keep said lands free from such growth as shall render the streets or highway adjoining said lands unsafe for public travel. Noxious Weeds shall be cut or otherwise destroyed on or before the date of adoption and as often hereafter as is necessary to prevent seed production: Primary noxious weeds: Quack grass, perennial sow thistle, Canada thistle, bull thistle, European morning glory or field bindweed, horse nettle, leafy spurge, perennial pepper grass, Russian knapweed, buckthorn, and all other species of thistles belonging in the genera of Cirsium and Carduus. Secondary noxious weeds: Butterprint, cocklebur, wild mustard, wild carrot, buckhorn, sheep sorrel, sour dock, smooth dock, poison hemlock, multiflora rose, wild sunflower, puncture vine, teasel and shattercane. The multiflora rose shall not be considered a secondary noxious weed when cultivated for or used as understock for cultivated roses or as ornamental shrubs in gardens, or in any county whose board of supervisors has by resolution declared it not t6 be a noxious weed. Shattercane shall not be considered a secondary noxious weed when cultivated or in any county whose board of supervisors has by resolution declared it not to be a noxious weed. That if the owners or person in possession or control of any land in Warren County fail to comply with the foregoing orders, the Weed Commissioner shall cause this to be done and the expense of said work, including costs of serving notice and other costs, if any, to be assessed against the real estate. RESOLUTION 19-195 CHANGE IN STATUS TREASURER'S OFFICE BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby approves request to increase part-time position to full-time 3osition in Treasurer's office. Vehicle driven by Chad Floden, Des Moines, struck a vehicle driven by Ronald Forget, Norwalk. This collision caused Forget's vehicle to strike a third vehicle driven by Anthony House, Ackley. Information was taken and a report forwarded to the Iowa Department of Transportation. Revoked Driver - North Ave & Redwood Dr. Brian Schmidt, Van Meter, was arrested and charged with Driving While Revoked. Subject was processed, cited and released to appear at a later date. Report made. July 13th Impaired Driver/Vehicle Crash- Hwy 28 at Hwy 5 - Vehicle driven by Tycin Nickens, Adel, struck a vehicle driven by Chisolm Crooks, Norwalk. Nickens was arrested and charged with Operating While Intoxicated and Driving While Barred. He was also cited for No Insurance-Accident Related and with Failure to Obey Stop Sign and Yield Right of Way. Subject was processed and transported to the Polk County jail. Impaired Driver - 2500 block G14 Hwy - Megan Bales, Des Moines, was arrested and charged with Operating While Intoxicated, Interference with Official Acts, Driving under Suspension, and Reckless Driving. Subject was processed and transported to the Warren County jail. Drug/Narcotics Violation - 1200 block Cherry PW. Michael Forget, Norwalk, was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Subject was processed, cited and released to appear at a later date. Report made. July 16th Vehicle Crash- 3000 block G14 Hwy. Vehicle driven by Ross Bauer, St. Charles, collided with a deer that entered the roadway. Information was taken and a report forwarded to the Iowa Department of Transportation. Barred Driver - North & Center - David Sickels, Norwalk, was arrested and charged with Driving While Barred and Unlawful Possession of Prescription Medication.
