Dog Show Winners

Nevaeh Hardy, age 12 and her dog Liberty
participated in the 4-H Dog Show at the Polk County
Fair on July 18th. Nevaeh and Liberty placed 3rd in
Showmanship, 2nd in Obedience and was Grand
Champion in the Rally Class!
Nevaeh is the daughter of Mike Hardy (Norwalk)
and Trisha Vargus (DSM) and will be entering 7th
grade this fall in Norwalk.

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.
Directors Present- David Albrecht, Justin Fletcher. Rick Kaul. and Maribeth
Wright.
Directors Absent- Dana Schuemann.
The following motions were made, seconded, and approved: Approved the Consent Agenda.
Approved Board Resolution to Approve the Sale and Issuance of Bond.
Approved Agenda Amendment.
Approved MS/HS Renovations CR-050 and Oviatt Renovations CR
(PCCO)-002.
Approved 2019-2020 Preschool Handbook.
Approved NCDS SAP Agreement 2019 for EFR.
Approved Annual Appointment of Board Officials for 2019-2020 School
Year.
Approved First Reading 500 Series PQlicy Revisions.
Approved Training on Suicide Prevention, Adverse Childhood
Experiences Identification, and Toxic Stress Response Mitigation
Strategies.
Approved going into closed session as provided by iowa Code Chapter
21.5, Section (1), Subsection (j) for Purpose of Site Acquisition
Discussions.
The Board came out of Closed Session at 8:20 p.m.

21.5, Section (1), Subsection (i) for purpose to evaluate the professional
competency of an individual whose appointment, hiring, performance,
or discharge is being .considered when necessary to prevent needless
and irreparable injury to that individual's reputation and that individual
requests a closed session.
The Board came out of Closed Session at 8:56 p.m.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:57 p.m.

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held before the WARREN
COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT on the 6th day of August, 2019 st
6:35 p.m. in the 2nd floor Board of Supervisors Meeting Room, Warren
County Administration Building, Indianola, Iowa.
Said hearing is in regard to a variance application submitted by Nick and
Jennifer Johnston, 8200 Jesup Street, Indianola, Iowa 50125. A variance
is sought from Title V, Section 41.02 (6)(D) of the 2019 Warren County Zoning
Ordinance. Said section (6) Bulk Regulations: D. Minimum Side Yard Width.
Each side yard: fifteen (15) feet. If granted, the variance would allow for a
building to be built closer to the side (east) lot line. The variance request is on
