Pick up registration forms 24 hours a day at the Par, ks
and Recreation office or print them off our website:
www.ci.norwalk.ia.us. You can mail registration forms,
place them in our drop box or walk in. Our office is
located' at 1100 Chatham Ave. (Public Safety Bldg.). Of-
fice hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
The drop box is open 24/7! If you have any questions,
call us at 981-9206. Online registration is available. (See
website: www.norwalk.iowa.gov).

ADULT COMMUNITY EDUCATION
AT MAIN STREET SCHOOL
Once again, the Main Street School will offer various
Community Education programs.
Home Brewing- Beer Making 101-Back by popular
demand. It's time to truly test your skills and give brew-
ing a try. In this class you learn the basics of home beer
making from brewing to bottling. This class will run
two sessions- the first month to brew, the second to
bottle. Each participant will leave with the knowledge
to start their own home brewing, a list of supplies and
supplier s and, of course, their own six pack of home
brew. Date: August 12 and September 6; Time: 7-8:30
p.m.; Cosl: $30; Limit: 8 individuals.
FAMILY PAINT ON CANVAS
Parent and child Will be led through step-by-step
painting class by Lucinda Sperry. There are five differ-
ent classes to choose from: Funky.Flag, Jazzy Instru-
ments, Pumpkin or Jack,O-Lantern, Peacock or Hearts
and Holiday ornaments. Instructor: Lucincla Sperr Art
• Love Studio. Lucinda Sperry is an artist and graphic

Studio whichprovides mobile classes from painting on

Fitness Classes
STEP BENCH AEROBICS/INTERVAL
This is a class of high energy aerobic routines inter-
spersed with intense cardio segments and followed by
a recovery period. Class will improve cardi0 condition-
ing. This class is for any fitness level and can be adjusted
to a low or high impact class depending on the level of
fitness you are. The bench is provided and you may
bring floor mat/towel and hand-held weights to increase
intensity and improve muscle tone. Mary Jane Sharp is

EARLY BIRD BODY SCULPTING
For those of you who get up with the chickens, come
join this early morning dass that will work on ultimate
body sculpting, Pilates and Chicometrics. This class is
designed to maximize core strength, firm and tone your
butt, thighs and arms. This class will use dumbbells,
big exercise balls (your own on designated days) and
dynabands that will put you to the test with added in-
tensity. Bring a mat/towel; hand weights are optional.

CIRCUIT SENSATION
Are you ready for this new workout that is athletic,
intense and more fun than a three-ring circus??!! Using
the motivational power of teamwork and competition
in combination with the balance challenges presented
by the Bosu balance workout, you will discover how to
change ordinary circuit workouts into extraordinary
workouts. The class will also use jump ropes, Dynamx
Strength Balls, Ab rollers, bands, other strengthening
equipment and weighted bars. Bring a mat/towel and

YOGA CLASS
Yoga is for everyone! It increases strength, flexibility
and balance for both body and mind. Regular yoga prac-
tice can help to improve circulation, digestion and pos-
ture, stimulate the immune system, decrease stress level
boost self-esteem and create a sense of calmness and
well-being, Bring your own mat, towel and water. Come

ZUMBA FITNESS/STEP
Zumba is a fusion of Latin and International music
and dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting and
effective workout system. Zumba Step will tone and
strengthen your legs and glutes with'a blend of Zumba
routines and step aerobics to get maximum results with-
out losing the easy to follow fitness party. This class com-
bines 30 minutes of Zumba fitness and 30 minutes of
Zumba Step, using every muscle of the body as you
shimmy, shake and stomp your way fit-the Zumba party

Everyone age 55 and older is invited to attend a free
exercise program that will include stretching and ton-
ing. We will meet at the Norwalk Christian Church lo-
cated at 701 Main St. This is a continuous program run-
ning yearly. Days: Monday and Thursday; Time: 10-
10:30 a.m.
