The event is a 2K and 5K fun run/walk raising aware- ness for congenital heart defects (CHD). Heart He- roes, Inc. is proud to bring this event to the area as the first race of this kind for CHD awareness. "Congenital Heart De- fects are the most common of all birth defects affect- ing about one out of every 100 babies born. Yet very few people know it even exists," states Sondra Dubas, Superhero Heart Run Executive Director and co-founder of Heart Heroes, Inc. "The Super- hero Heart Run is being launched as a nationwide movement to create awareness for CHD.
