Page Eight N/Warren Town and County News Thursday, August 6, 2015 NHS Activities Director By Al Lammers The Norwalk Athletic/Activities Office is excited to announce the creation and estab- lishment of the Norwalk School Athletic Hall of Fame. The mission of the HOP is to recognize and honor those former athletes, coaches, and others who have made significant contributions to the athletic programs of Norwalk High School and to the growth and success of Norwalk Athletics while educating our current athletes about the history of Norwalk Athletics. The HOP ceremony will be held in conjuncfion with homecoming week with the actual hall of fame induction to be held during the community pep rally on September 10 and recognition of those inductees at halftime of the homecoming football game on Friday. The by-laws, nomination and selection criteria, as well as the nomination form can be found on the Norwalk Athletic / Activities website located at wwwnorwalkwarriorsorg. Nominations of candidates must be submitted to the Norwalk Athletic / Activities Office postdated no later than August 15, 2015. Contact the Norwalk Athletic / Activities Office for additional information or clarification. Congratulations to Norwalk graduated senior Sam Steenhoek who was recently named one of 13 high school soccer players nationally named NSCAA High School Winter-Spring All-American. This is a very special honor so congratulations to Sam. ' Other post season soccer awards for the Warrior Soccer Program included the follow- ing: Academic All-State: lst team — Tyler Hixson, 2nd team — Jake Potratz, Karson Olerich, Andrew Jensen, Kason Crall, Jack Palen.
