Home Brewing- Beer Making 101-Back by popular demand. It's time to truly test your skills and give brew- ing a try. In this class you learn the basics of home beer making from brewing to bottling. This class will run two sessions- the first month to brew, the second to bottle. Each participant will leave with the knowledge to start their own home brewing, a list of supplies and suppliers and, of course, their own six pack of home brew. Date: August 12 and September 6; Time: 7-8:30 p.m.; Cost: $30; Limit: 8 individuals. FAMILY PAINT ON CANVAS Parent and child will be led through step-by-step painting class by Lucinda Sperry. There are five differ- ent classes to choose from: Funky Flag, Jazzy Instru- ments, Pumpkin or Jack-O-Lantern, Peacock or Hearts and Holiday ornaments. Instructor Lucinda Sperry, Art Love Studio. Lucinda Sperry is an artist and graphic designer from Norwalk. This year she launched Art Love Studio which provides mobile classes from painting on canvas, creating a project or learning a new skill. Fitness Classes STEP BENCH AEROBICS/INTERVAL This is a class of high energy aerobic routines inter- spersed with intense cardio segments and followed by a recovery period. Class will improve cardio conditioning. This dass is for any fitness level and can be adjusted to a low or high impact class depending on the level of fitness you are. The bench is provided and you may bring floor mat/towel and hand-held weights to increase intensity and improve mttsde tone. Mary Jane Sharp is the instructor. EARLY BIRD BODY SCULPTING For those of you who get up with the chickens, come join this early morning class that will work on ultimate body sculpting, Pilates and Chicometrics. This class will use dumbbells, big exer- cise balls (your own on designated days) and dynabands that will put you to the test with added intensity. Bring a mat/towel; hand weights are optional. YOGA CLASS Yoga is for everyone! It increases strength, flexibility and balance for both body and mind. ZUMBA FITNESS/STEP Zumba is a fusion of Latin and International music and dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting and effective workout system. Zumba Step will tone and strengthen your legs and glutes with a blend of Zumba routines and step aerobics to get maximum results with- out losing the easy to follow fitness party. This class com- bines 30 minutes of Z ,ulnba fitness and 30 minutes of Zumba Step, using every muscle of the body as you shimmy, shake and stomp your way fit-the Zumba party fitness way! MEN'S FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUE This is a 6 on 6 recreational flag football league for men. Come relive those good ol' days of fun on the gridiron while the weather is still warm! Players must be 18 years old and out of high school. Six weeks of play depending on the number of teams. ADULT COED VOLLEYBALL - A ANDB LEAGUE Two separate leagues are offered for coed volleyball. A league is considered a power league, while B league is considered a recreation league. Each league is lim- ited to 6 teams. Officials are provided for each game. Register as a team. There is a six-player minimum and ten player maximutn. Registration accepted on first come, first serve basis until it is full. OPALS- SENIOR CITIZEN PROGRAMS (Older People with Active Life Styles) SENIOR CITIZEN EXERCISE Everyone age 55 and older is invited to attend a free exercise program that will include stretching and ton- ing. We will meet at the Norwalk Christian Church lo- cated at 701 Main St. This is a continuous program run- ning yearly.
