WARRIOR TRIVIA: Norwalk will be classified as a 4A school this year. Can
you
name the programs that will be participating in Class 4A postseason
tournaments?
Trivia Answer: Boys and Girls Cross Country, Boys Golf, Boys Basketball,
Boys and
Girls Track, and Baseball.
It is amazing how quickly the summer has gone as Monday, Aug. 10, marks the
first day of official practice for football, volleyball, and cross country.
All athletes are
reminded that they must have a physical as well as the concussion/emergency
card
information on file before they can practice. These forms can be found on
the Norwalk
Athletic website. Also, as a reminder our annual Fall Fest kickoff will be
held on
Thursday, August 20 beginning at 6 PM. Admission for Fall Fest is a
non-perishable
food item which will be donated to the Norwalk Food Pantry. Fall Fest will
be high—
lighted by a performance by the marching band, a volleyball scrimmage, and
a for-
mal football practice. The Warrior Football will travel to DCG on the
following Fri—
day to scrimmage the Mustangs. All schedules for the upcoming season can be
found
at www.littlehawkeyeconference.com website. Just click on the Norwalk link.
With the heightened awareness and state legislative guidelines concerning
con-
cussions, the Norwalk Athletic / Activities Department 7-12, has
established a return
to play protocol that is followed after any one of our athletes have been
diagnosed
with a concussion. To View the protocol click on the following link:
