Gates will open at 5:00 p.m. with the Fall Fest program beginning at roughly 6:00. The Athletic Boosters will be providing a $5 meal Norwak Easter Public Library Junior Duck Stamp Display Includes NorwalkStudent deal (hot dog, drink, and chips) beginning at 5:15 and paid and many schools offer class credit for throughout the evening. ' work in the Legislature. Come watch the Warrior football team practice up until 6:00 p.m followed by a performance from the Norwalk Marching Band. After the Band performance there will be a meet and greet of all of our fall athletic/activity programs. The Volleyball team will be holding an intrasquad scrimmage at the conclusion of the festivities (roughly 6:30). The Athletic Boosters will also have available fall athletic program posters, and athletes from all of our fall athletic programs will be available for autographs of the posters for our younger Warrior fans prior to the festivities. Fall Fest is Norwalk High School's athletic/activity kickoff for the upcoming school year, and we encourage all Warrior Fans to come out and help us kick it off. We would ask that you bring a non-perishable food item as admission that will be donated to the Norwalk Food Pantry. On-line membership is now available on the new Norwalk Athletic Booster Club web site. Family and single adult activity passes for the 2019-20 school year are also available depending on your membership level. All fall high school athletic programs officially began practice this Monday, August 12th. Volleyball opens their season on August 29th at SE Polk, Football is at Indianola on August 30th, Cross Country is at DCG on September 3rd, and the swimmers will begin on August 26th. We will also happily accept photos and information from parents, students, and community members. Gustafson Encourages Local Students to Apply for the 2020 Legislative Page Program Rep. Stan Gustafson (R-Cumming) has released information about the Iowa Legislative Page program and is encouraging area students to apply for the 2020 session. Each year, the Iowa General Assembly employs Iowa high school juniors and seniors from across the state to serve as Pages during the legislative session. The duties of Legislative Pages vary slightly, but they generally provide valuable assistance to legislators and legislative staff. Tasks include operating the chamber switchboard, delivering messages, distributing legislation, assisting committee chairpersons and sorting amendments.
