BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby
approves the change in status for Gerrilyn Peck, Motor Vehicle Clerk,
Treasurer's office from a part-time status to a full-time status effective July
25, 2019 with no change in pay rate and is eligible for all full-time benefits
according to the Warren County Personnel Policies. Canted unanimously.
RESOLUTION 1 9-199(B) REMOVAL FROM PAYROLL I-IFJII.TH SERVICES
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of ,~ hereby
approves to remove Courtney Fitzlaff, Dental Assistant, from Health Services
payroll effective August 1, 2019 and to pay out any accrued beneffis as per
the Warren County Personnel Policies. Carded unanimously.
RESOLUTION 1 9-199(C) SALARY ADJUSTMENT COUN1W
WHEREAS, as per the union contract, employees appointed on or after July
1, 1995, shall be eligible for step increases in pay on their anniversary date
each year, based on their job performance. It is the recommendation of the
County Engineer that the following employee be granted a step increase.

approves recommendation of the County Engineer as follows:

BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby
approves new hire of Robert Ryan Johnson, Temperary Seasonal, Secondary
Roads effective August 2, 2019 for no more than six monti~ at an hourly pay
rate of $15.00 and is not eligible for benefits as par the Warren County
Personnel Policies. Carded unanimously.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby
approves appointment of Scott Hommer as County Weed Commissioner,

RESOLUTION 19-199(F) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE RALLY CROSS
NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supentisors hereby
approves application for temporary road closure of Jewel Street between
Highway 92 and 150th Street from September 20th thru September 22nd, 2019
for the Rally Cross National Championship. Carried unanimously.
RESOLUTION 19-199(G) USAGE OF BOARDROOM WARREN COUNTY

BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby
approves application for use of the Warren County Boardroom the fourth
Monday of each month from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for the Warren County
Democrat's Central Committee. Carried unanimously.
RESOLUTION 19-199(H) RELEASE OF EASEMENT
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby
approves Release of Easement between Anthony R. Putz and Susan J. Putz
and Warren County and authonze the Board Chair to sign. Canted unanimously.
RESOLUTION 19-199(I)APPROVE LIQUOR UClENSE SUMMERSET WINERY
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby
approves the Class C Native Wine (WCN) for Summemet Winery, LLC, 15101
Fairfax Street, Indianola, Iowa effective August 18, 2019 through August 17,
2020. Carried unanimously.
RESOLUTION 19-199(J)APPROVE LIQUOR UCENSEYOUR PRIVATE

BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby
approves the Class C Liquor License (LC) (Commercial) for Your Private
Bartender, LLC, 15101 Fairfax Street, Indianola, Iowa effective August 20,
2019 through August 25, 2019. Carried unanimously.
RESOLUTION 19-200 INCREASE IN VACATION ACCRUAL ASSISTANT
COUNTY ENGINEER
BE iT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby
approves increase to vacation accrual rate for 13m Hill, Assistant County
Engineer, Secondary Roads from 3.08 hours to 4.62 hours per pay penod,
effective July 1, 2019, due to his promotion. Carded unanimously.
RESOLUTION 19-201 NEW HIRE SEONDARY ROAJBS
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby
approves hire of Scott Wilson, Assistant Road Superintendent, Secondary
Roads, full time status, Grade 16, Step 8 at a biweekly rate of $2,709.60
effective August 16, 2019. He will begin with 80 hours of vacation and accrue
at a rate of 4.62 hours per pay period and is eligible for benefits as per Warren
County Personnel Policies. Carried unanimously.
RESOLUTION 19-202 SPEED LIMIT CHANGE
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors, under the provisions of Chapter 321.285,
Subsection 5, Code of Iowa, if on the basis of an engineering and traffic
investigation, the speed on any secondary road is greater than is reasonable
and proper under the conditions found to exist, the Board shall determine and
declare a reasonable and proper speed limit; now,
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby
approves that the following speed limits be changed:
40 MPH on 85th/Fleur Drive~Blue~Bronze Street from Beardsley/Border Street
to R63 Hwy/SW 9th Street. Carried unanimously.
RESOLUTION 19-203 SPEED LIMIT CHANGE
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors, under the provisions of Chapter 321.285,
Subsection 5, Code of Iowa, if on the basis of an engineering and traffic
investigation, the speed on any secondary road is greater than is reasonable
and proper under the conditions found to exist, the Board shall determine and
declare a reasonable and proper speed limit; now,
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby
approves that the following speed limits be changed:
25 MPH on 80th Ave/SW 28th Street from Beardsley Street to Acorn Street
Carried unanimously.
RESOLUTION 19-204 SPEED LIMIT CHANGE
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors, under the provisions of Chapter 321.285,
Subsection 5, Code of Iowa, if on the basis of an engineering and traffic
investigation, the speed on any secondary road is greater than is reasonable
and proper under the conditions found to exist, the Board shall determine and
declare a reasonable and proper speed limit; now,

approves that the following speed limits be changed:
35 MPH on Geneva Street from 70th Ave to the East 1.0 miles

RESOLUTION 19-205 FIVE TON WEIGHT LIMIT SIGNS
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby
approves Five (5) ton weight limit signs with effective date of August 6, 2019
for Greenfield Plaza and Hills of Coventry areas. Carried unanimously.
RESOLUTION 19-206 WARREN COUNTY JUSTICE CENTER D.W. ZlNSER
CHANGE ORDER #8
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby
approves Warren County Justice Center change order #8 in the amount of
$16,429.70 with D.W. Zinser. Carried unanimously.
RESOLUTION 19-207 WARREN COUNTY JUSTICE CENTER COMPLETION

BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby
approves Warren County Justice Center Completion Certificate with D.W.
Zinser Co. Carried unanimously.

Justice Center project.
RESOLUTION 19-208 AGING RESOURCE BOARD
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby
approves appointment of C. Jean Laverb] to Aging Resource Board. Carried
unanimously.
RESOLUTION 19-209 REGIONAL HOUSING TRUST FUND APPOINTMENTS
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby
approves to appoint Deven Markley and Rachel Gocken to Regional Housing
Trust Fund. Carried unanimously.
RESOLUTION 19-210 ICIT AGREEMENT INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
ASSESSMENT
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby
approves agreement with ICIT for Information Technology Assessment. Carried
unanimously.

Tracy Stevens gave a presentation on Census 2020 and Complete Count

PUBUC INPUT: George Sates - Greenfield Parkway, Des Moines
Thanked Supervisor DeKock for visiting their area and looking
at some of their problems. George requested speed bumps
and reiterated on continuing water issues.
The next regular meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 20th, 2019 at
6:00 p.m.

August 13th
Motor Vehicle Theft - 8000 Echo Drive. Resident
reported vehicle stolen from their driveway. Vehicle
was later located and returned to the owner. A
cellular phone, a wallet containing identification and
credit cards, and multiple tools had been stolen from
the vehicle. Information was taken and a report
made. Investigation remains under investigation at
this time.

Hunter Education Classes
Hunter education classroom courses are offered by
knowledgeable and certified volunteer instructors
and Iowa Department of Natural Resources
conservation officers. Classroom courses are typically
12-15 hours in length and are held over two to three
sessions (days). In order to receive certification, a
student must attend all sessions and pass the final
exam.
Iowa law requires that anyone born after January
1, 1972 must be certified in hunter education before
they are eligible to purchase an Iowa hunting license.
