The Junior Golf Club Rental Pro- gram is made possible through a successful grant from the "Sticks for Kids, golf program through the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) and the Golf Course Builders Association of America (GCBAA). NORWALK FAMILY TAE KWON DO Michael Wagenknecht is the head instructor of the school and offers programs for ages five through adults. The classes are separated by rank (beginners and ad- vanced) and students meet twice a week. Class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, in the oviatt gym or multi- purpose room. Beginners meet from 6:15-7 p.m. and advanced students meet from 7-8 p.m. We also offer a Little Dragon program designed for children ages five to seven. Little Dragons meet twice a week. This program is run concurrently with the begin- ning class.~Maximum number of students in the Little Dragon program is 20, so register early. ' August 11 Officer was dispatched to the 1100 block of Sunset Drive on an Intoxicated Person. Dylan James Kick, 18, Norwalk, was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication. Officer was dispatched to the 1100 block of Sunset Drive to investigate a Theft report; information for- warded to the Warren County Attorney Office. August 12 Officer was dispatched to the 4700 block of Candlewick Drive to in- vestigate a Theft report; case is currently under in- vestigation. August 13 Officer was dispatched to the 2900 block of Sunset Drive to investigate a Criminal Mischief report; case is pending further in- vestigative leads. August 14 Officer was dispatched to the 1900 block of Cedar Street to investigate a Theft report. After further inves- tigation it was determined to be a civil litigation mat- ter. August 15 Officer was dispatched to the 1100 block of Chatham Avenue to inves- tigate an Assault report. Partici- pants will rappel down the 345-foot building to raise funds for Special Olym- pics athletes and pro- grams. "Special Olympics Iowa's 'Over the Edge' event is a great way for people of all ages to expe- rience this extreme event and a once-in-a-lifetime experience," said SOIA President and CEO Mark A. Reed. "This event is a great way for folks to chal- lenge themselves just as ourSpecial Olympics ath- letes challenge themselves everyday to be the best they can be." The first 100 people to register and raise $1,000 are guaranteed a spot to rappel. Interested persons will use their online fundraising page or collect cash and checks from their network of friends, family and co-workers. If your boss has ever pushed you Over the Edge, there will also be an opportunity to toss your boss! All donations are 100 percent tax deductible. You must be 14 years or older and body weight must be at least 110 pounds and less than 300 pounds. Incentive prizes will be awarded to people who raise more than $1,000. Special Olympics Iowa is a nonprofit organization serving Iowans with intel- lectual disabilities since 1968.
