Bring your own equipment, supplies and bever- age and a snack to share, if you wish. Tuesday, Sept. 2 Preschool Storytime, 10:30 a.m. For ages 3 to 5 years, join us for picture books, songs and flannel boards. This storytime is also a good fit for daycare groups and par- ents attending with several children and lasts 25-30 minutes. Wednesday, Sept. 3 Take a Break, 10:30-11 a.m. For adults and kids of all ages, drop by the library to talk with other adults and see new library resources while the kids do literacy and sensory-based activities. Kids Lego Club, 2-3 p.m. First Wednesdays through April, for kindergarten through 4th grade. If you love, Legos, stop at the library to build your own creation. The library provides all Legos and no registration is re- quired. Thursday, Sept. 4 Toddler Storytime, 10:30 a.m. For ages 18 months to 3 years, expect rhymes, finger plays, hort books, songs and movement activities for toddlers at this interactive, energetic storytime[ Lasts 20-25 minutes. Learn@Your Library: Produce Iowa: Getting the State Ready for its Close-up, 7-8 p.m. The Iowa De- partment of Cultural Affairs launched Produce Iowa last year with Liz Gilman serving as its executive producer. Liz will talk about her production background and share with us her goals for re-launching a film office in our state. OBITUARY RUBY JUNE ADUDDELL A Celebration of Life Service for Ruby June Aduddell, 90, Pleas- antville, was held Thurs- day, Aug. 21 at the Mason Funeral Home. Ruby June Aduddell was born June 28, 1924 in Norwalk, the daughter of Lewis Harold Cue and Mildred Viola (Colclazier) Cue. She graduated from Norwalk High School and worked at Allied Insur- ance Company in Des Moines for several years as an underwriter and in the claims department. June 28, 1974, she was united in marriage to John Aduddell. After living in Des Moines for several years, .they moved to Brownsville, TX and later to Pleasantville, where they were able to enjoy many happy years of re- tirement. During retirement years, June and John trav- eled throughout the Unit- ed States. She also spent much of her time sewing handmade quilts. Her ere- Ruby June Aduddell ations were one of a kind and have been enjoyed by many friends and family as gifts from June. " She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John, in 2011. Survivors include her children, Susan (Louie) Plude of Des Moines, Steve (Tina) Lehman of Branson, MO, Robert (Tammie) Lehman of Ne- vada and JoEllen Adud- dell of Des Moines; nine grandchildren, Shelly Plude, Kathy Denning, Michelle Waters, Jill Bolin, Tiffiney McCollough, Am- ber Ogren, Kyle Lehman, Andrew Aduddell and Katy Aduddell; ten great- grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and many other family members.
