open to the public, Monday through Friday, 8:00
am to 4:30 pm. At this time, we ask that if you

All park playground equipment, shelters, and
the skate park are open. All restrooms are open
for the season.
Park open spaces and trails continue to be
open including Elizabeth Holland Park. CDC
guidelines must be followed when using these public
spaces.
McAninch Sports Complex is open for the

The library’s service hours are: 10:00 a.m.—8:00
p.m. Monday-Thursday; 10:00 a.m.-6:00 pm. Friday;
and 10:00 a.m.-5:00 pm. on Saturday. We are closed
on Sundays. Masks are highly recommended.
The Library will be closed Monday
September 6th in observance of Labor Day. We
will reopen at 10am on Tuesday September 7th.
The Reading Challenge
Norwalk Easter Public Library’s first year-long
reading challenge! Our monthly challenges will
explore new classics, long-forgotten childhood
favorites, or have you step outside your comfort zone.

Park! Great for young children and their grownups.

Early Out Wednesday Crafts: Kids can stop by
the library on Early Out Wednesdays to do a craft!
We’ll be set up in front of the library, just drop in
any time from 2:00-3:30 pm.
Adult Activities
Geri-Fit®: Mondays and Wednesdays 8:30am: A
45-minute Video-led strength training exercise class
designed for older adults. Most exercises are
performed seated, with a set of light dumbbell
weights. While designed for older adults, all fitness
levels are welcome to participate. We provide the
videos, equipment, and coaching. Participants should
dress in sturdy shoes and comfortable clothing for
movement. Participants are also encouraged to bring
their own towel and water bottle. *Participants must
complete a waiver before participating in the class.
Repeat participants only need to fill out the form
once.
Coffee & Chat: Mondays at 10:00am: Enjoy a cup
0’ joe & lively conversation with members of the
community every Monday from 10:00 am 1 1:00 am.
*We’ll have select interactive cards and games to play
while you chat. No registration required.

Webinar: The Life of Jesse Hoover. September
10th @ 6:00pm. Norwalk Easter Public Library will
livestream the webinar in the library meeting room
for in-person viewing at a limited capacity. Attendees
who would like to View the presentation at home on
their own may also do so. Check our website for more

FDA Approves
First COVID-19 Vaccine
On August 23rd, the FDA authorized full approval
for one COVID: 19 vaccine. The vaccine known as the
Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine will now be
marketed as Comirnaty for the prevention of COVID-
19 disease in individuals 16 years of age and older.
The Comirnaty vaccine continues to be available
under emergency use authorization (EUA) for
individuals 12 through 15 years of age and for the
administration of a third dose in certain
immunocompromised individuals.
More than 3 million doses of vaccine have been
administered in Iowa and more than 1.5 million
Iowans are fully vaccinated. For more information
