Thursday, September 2, 2021 Warren County Sheriff ’3 Report This information was obtained directly from the , Warren County Sheriff's Office and printed as received. Disclaimer: All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. July 30, 2021 22:30, McKinley St/148th Ave: James Reason, Indianola, was traveling south on 148th Avenue. Reason was traveling too fast to make the right hand curve onto McKinley Street. The vehicle lost control attempting to make the turn, turned sideways, and entered the south ditch. Reason’s vehicle then rolled an estimated 2-3 times before being stopped by trees. The vehicle sustained heavy damage. No occupants of the vehicle were found at the scene and the vehicle was not warm to the touch. The vehicle was impounded and taken to Aubert’s Towing in Indianola. Driver called in on 8-1-2021 and gave a similar version as to what occurred. August 16, 2021 3000 blk, Greenfield Twp: Accident investigation in Warren County. 7000 blk, Jefferson Twp: Rodney Parker, 59, rural Warren County, reported theft and criminal mischief. 9000 blk, Jefferson Twp: Justin Johnson, 59, rural Warren County, was arrested for eluding and violation of a no contact order. 600 blk, Hartford: A counterfeit $100 bill was turned over to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office by the Hartford Git and Go, after an individual attempted to make a purchase. August 18, 2021 5000 blk, Linn Twp: Connie Major, 52, Ankeny, is charged with harassment and theft. Warrant requested. . August 19, 2021 11000 blk, White Oak Twp: The Warren County Sheriff s Office assisted the Iowa State Patrol with a fatality accident in southern Warren County. August 21, 2021 64 mm, Warren County: Marco Antonio Fuentes Jr, 22, Edinburg, Texas, was charged with OWI 1st. 9000 blk, Greenfield Twp: The Warren County Sheriff s Office assisted with an adult male making suicidal threats. 19:2 7, 140th Ave: Ashlyn Dowell, West Des Moines, was traveling east on Hwy 65. Dowell slowed to turn south on 140th Ave. Curtis Clark, Dallas, was behind Dowell traveling same direction. Clark came up on Dowell too fast and did not know that Dowell was turning. Clark went to the shoulder to try and avoid hitting Dowell. Dowell made the turn and Clark hit the side of Dowell causing the bumper of the Dowell vehicle to be ripped off. There was very little to no damage to the Clark vehicle. Dowell had more damage but was able to be driven the few miles to the residence. N0 persons were injured from either vehicle. August 22, 2021 5000 blk, Linn Twp: John Kelly, 69, Warren County, reported theft of catalytic converter from his vehicle. 20000 blk, Richland Twp: Warren County deputies assisted with a suicidal subject in rural Warren County. Subject was transported to the hospital by Hartford EMS.
