Thursday, September 12, 2013 N/Warren Town and County News Page Five .CHURC] I and Brittani McAninch Plans Missions Trip What if you were given an opportunity to take a year off, travel the world, and serve God? Well my name is Brittani McAninch and I've been blessed with an opportunity to do just that. First, let me expand on who I am and what I will be doing -- I'm twenty- three years old and from Norwalk, IA. I graduated high school from Norwalk High School in 2008 and chose to further my edu- cation and graduated from University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2012. Further, I'm taking classes at Moody Theo- logical Seminary and will graduate with a Certificate in Biblical Studies in De- cember 2013. In fact, it's because of a friendship formed in those college years that I have the op- portunity that I do-- while catching up with an old friend one da)5 she men- tioned to me about the World Race missions trip, and from the moment we talked about it until even right now, it just won't leave my head and heart. After catching up with a friend, I did some re- search, applied, inter- viewed and low and be- hold, got accepted to go on the World Race! What is the World Race? The World Race is an opportunity to visit eleven different countries in just eleven short months. We (my squad and I) will be bringing along the good news of Jesus Christ with us as well! The countries we'll be visiting are: Cambodia, India, Ireland, Malaysia, Brittani McAninch Mozambique, Nepal Ro- mania, South Africa, Swaziland, Ukraine and Vietnam. Our ministry will include things such as (but not limited to) building churches, help- ing in orphanages, work- ing with non-profit orga- nizations like hospitals or schools, helping out the homeless, teaching En- glish, bringing along the power of prayer and feed- ing the hungry. Working with a group that will be doing such extensive min- istry brings along quite the cost. I will be fundraising for things such as: food, lodging, long distance travel back- pack, tent, sleeping bag, transportation, interconti- nental travel, week-long training in Tennessee and many other miscella- neous supplies for the trip--again, I'll be gone and living out of a back- pack for eleven months! Taking all of that into consideration, it's easy to see how quickly it all adds up; I'm still in need of approximately $15,000. With that being said, I would love nothing more than your support along my journey! Whether you choose to donate funds or your time to pray for me and my team--either way, you can follow along with my journey as I will be blogging as frequently as I can. You can read my blog at www.brittanimcaninch. theworldrace.org or email me at brittani.mcaninch @gmail.com. If you do de- cide to support me finan- cially you can make your donations (which are tax deductible) online by going to my blog and clicking on "Support Me" on the left hand side of the webpage. There is a small online fee for processing; to avoid that fee you could also send a check payable to Adven- tures in Missions, "World Race - Brittani McAninch" as the memo line to Adven- tures In Missions, EO. Box 534470, Atlanta, GA 30353- 4470. I'm incredibly excited about my trip and cannot wait to see the way that God chooses to work in the lives of our team and all those we come in contact with[ I thank you for your time in reading this, and again would appreciate your prayers as I will set out for my journey in Janu- ary of 2014. May I just re- mind you all of Acts 1:8 "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." This is my opportunity to take it to the ends of the earth, and so I'm taking it.
