Thursday, September 19, 2013 N/Warren Town and County News Page Five World Racer: Adventures I( in Missions What are your dreams, hopes and plans for 2014? For this former Norwalk grad, it's a journey of faith and service. Beginning January 2014 Kelsey Kraus is joining the Worldrace through Adventures in Missions, a 501(c)(3) non- profit organization and a long-time member of ECFA. The Worldrace is a "journey to 11 countries in 11 months to serve the least of these while amongst real and raw community" according to its website http://www. worldrace.org/. Several squads depart from the US at three differ- ent times each year. This next year starting in Janu- ary, Kraus will be on route 3 serving in Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, South Africa, MoZambique, Swaziland, Thailand, Burma, Malay- sia and the Philippines with her squad made up of young adults from around the country. The organiza- tion began in 2006 and has grown significantly with participants choosing to take on a year to serve in this life-changing journey. The teams will touch countless lives of people in desperate situations in- cluding poverty, disease and human trafficking, in real community, but will bring hope, love and ser- vice in ways that only God can move. Kraus is a 2009 gradu- ate of Norwalk High School and 2013 graduate of the University of North- ern Iowa with a B.A. in Social Work. After com- pleting the 2014 route, she plans to attend graduate school at UNI to continue studies in the social work field Throughout her mis- sion year you can follow her blog and be a part of her years' experience at: Useei Tire Headquarters OVER 300 Available!
