Thursday, September 24, 2015 NfWarren Town and County News Page Nine Lakewood Playground Update Constitution and Citizenship Day iiiiiii!iiiii!iiiiiiiiiiiiii!iiiii;;, Playground kids playing September 2015 September 17, 2015 was Constitution Day and Citizenship Day. The U.S. District Court celebrated this day by hosting a special Naturalization ceremony. Sixth grade students from Norwalk Middle School were selected to participate in this special event. Ten students attended and led the 66 new citizens in the Pledge of Alle- giance. The new citizens are from countries such as People's Republic of China, Burma, Iraq, India, Guatemala, and Mexico. After the ceremony, the students in- terviewed new citizens and asked questions like, "How does it feel to be an Ameri- can citizen?" Participating in this event will be something the boys will remem- ber forever. Photo submitted. Student nominations have been accepted for Norwalk Outstanding Related Arts award again this year. Norwalk Middle School is excited to announce the NORA Award. This award is to recognize Norwalk Outstanding Related Arts Students. This award recognizes students in Band, Choir, Art, Family Consumers Science and li- brary. Cube WCPP decal The new Lakewood Playground is a popular place as the school year gets going for 2015/2016! The two final pieces of equipment - The Bouldering Cube (in part sponsored by the Warren County Philanthropic Partnership - WCPP) and The Atom were installed prior to the first day of school.
