SHERIFF'S REPORT

August 27
3000 block of Cumming
Avenue, Michael Hull 28,
Winterset, was arrested for
possession of marijuana
and drug paraphernalia as
well as driving suspended.
6000 block G24, Nor-
walk School Transporta-
tion reported school bus
violation.
August 31
Deborah Hutchison of
Martensdale reported
theft of a license plate.
ACCIDENTS
August 28 - 11:30 p.m.,
Banner Lake at Summer-
set: Thomas Appenzeller,
18, Lndianola, was driving
faster than the post speed
limit and when the road-
way curved he was not
able to stay on roadway.
The car collided head-on
with a large tree and the
inertia flipped the car
around and over a small
creek into some more
brush and small trees. Ap-
penzeller left the scene
without notifying law en-
forcement. Car was found
the next morning by a ci-
vilian driving through the
park and called it into
Sheriff's Office. Driver did
contact deputy a day later
and provided some addi-
tional information for the.
state report.
September 11 - 11 p.m.,
G76 and 103rd Avenue:
Edward Green, 59, New
Virginia, vehicle struck a
deer.
September 13 - 1:28
p.m., Coolidge Street and
25th Avenue: Cynthia
Allen, 24, Indianola, was
southbound when Bryan
Jolliffe, 54, Norwalk, was
backing out of his drive-
way. Jolliffe states he
didn't see Allen and
backed into the roadway.
Allen swerved and locked
up the brakes sliding into
Jolliffe coming to a stop
almost immediately after
striking Allen, No injuries
reported.
September 15 -5:59
p.m., Hwy G76: M lissa
Hoose, 27, Oskaloosa, stat-
ed she had gone off of the ....
righthand edge of the
roadway coming into a
curve. She attempted to
pull the wheels back onto .......
the pavement, but over
corrected and caused the
vehicle to spin out and go
off of the roadway on the
south side of G76 Hwy.
The uneven terrain of the
ditch caused damage to
the lower portion of the
vehicle.

Dustin Volquardsen, 27,
Lake Havasu City, AZ, ve-
hicle/deer.
September 16 - 7:45
p.m., $31/123th Avenue:
Donna Murphy-Ceradsky,
'55, Pleasantville, vehicle/
deer.
