"BUD" FRAZIER Services and burial were held Tuesday, Sept. 30, in Indianola for O. R. "Bud" Frazier, 95, of West Des Moines, formerly of Martensdale, who died Saturday, Sept. 27, at Norwalk Nursing and Re- hab Center. Survivors include his wife, Lenore Frazier; daughters, Jan Rosander and Marilyn (Dennis) Isley; grandsons, Steve Rosander and Jeff (Erika) Islev; great-grandchildren, Jake Rosander, Jaeda Isley and Tyler Is!ey; and sister- in-la; Patricia Frazier. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Darlene; four sisters Iowa Newspaper Association O. R. "Bud" Frazier and two brothers. Memorials may be given to the Martensdale Com- munity Church. Condolences may be left at www.oleary funerals.com. LuAnn, the daughter of Clarence and Irene Tus- chen, was born February 2, 1944 in Salem, SD. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Salem St. Mary's Catholic School in 1961. February 1, 1964, she was united in Holy Matrimony in Salem with her high school sweetheart, Larry Weier. They were blessed with three children, Scott, Troy and Treva. This past year LuAnn and Larry celebrat- ed 50 years of marriage. The couple lived in Okoboji and Algona more than 20 years before mov- ing to Des Moines in 1991 and then Norwalk in 2004. Before retirement in 2009, LuAnn worked 22 years for Central Financial Group of Algona and West Des Moines. She enjoyed supporting her husband, children and grandchil- dren during sporting ac- tivities and she loved the Iowa Hawkeyes Mrs. Weier was an ac- tive member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church where she served as a lay minister. She enjoyed min- istering at local nursing homes and was a member of the Pastoral Council and Altar Society. She volun- LuAnn Weier teered at the Connections Cafe, delivered Meals on Wheels, tutored at the Cor- rectional Facility in Des Moines and stayed active with her Christ Renews His Parish Retreat (CRHP) sisters. In the spring of 2011, LuAnn was diagnosed with cancer. Following her doctor's advice, she kept quality in her life, traveled as much as possible and lived her life to the fullest with joy and appreciation. Survivors include her husband, Larry; children, Scott, Troy and Treys My- ers; their spouses, Cinthya, Scott and Brian; eight grandchildren, Logan, Landan, Kelsey, Kayla, Kalason, Alex, Najeh and Asha; a sister, Marlene; two brothers, Myron and Wayne; their spouses, Mary Ann and Karen; a sister-in-law, Dorthea; six in-laws on the Weier fam- ily, Mary Ann, Steve and Bernie, Jim and Jan, Allan and Barb, Sue and Boe, and Bill; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clar- ence and Irene Tuschen; brother, Milo; her father and mother-in-law, Clem and Delores Weier; and her maternal and paternal grandparents. OBITUARY ROBERT WILLIAM BEERY Services were held at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home in Grandville, MI Friday, Oct. 3, for Rob- ert William Beery, 78, of Grand Haven, MI. Mr. Beery, who grew up in Norwalk, died Monday, Sept. 29. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Beery and two brothers, Jim and Bill Beery. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Estrella; his children, Arturo and Myrna Beer Robert "Charlie" and Sherry Beer34 Maria Beery, Donald and Elina Beery and Christina Beery; nine grandchil- dren; five great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Jack and Lanonne Beer Ann Whitcomb and Cathy and Neff Johnson.
