Ms. Peterson graduated from North High School and attended AIB, both in Des Moines. For the next 20 years she lived in Oahu, Hawaii where she worked for a ma- jor life insurance carrier in downtown Honolulu. She enjoyed the chain of Hawaiian Islands and attended lo- cal sporting events. A major health event brought her back to Des Moines in the spring of 1999. She had resided at the Norwalk Nursing and Rehabilitation Center the last five years. She enjoyed group activities, playing cards and the "Hawks." While enduring significant life challenges, she never had a discouraging word and had a broad smile. She >,'as preceded in death by her mother and father.
