Babysitting is an impor- tant job. Come learn about safety, first aid, and youth development stages. You will receive a workbook, hear guest presenters and practice what it takes to be a com- petent babysitter. Upon completion of all activities you will receive a Babysitting Basics Certificate. MAD SCIENCE OF IOWA PROGRAMMING FOR NORWALK 2010-2011 SCHOOL YEAR FIRST SEMESTER 2010-2011 Kindergarten at Oviatt-First Semester 2010-2011: This semester Mad Science of Iowa is offering our NEW "No Trace-Cool Case" Enrichment Program for your children right after school. Session topics for this Fo- rensic Science program are: Agent Undercover; Crafty Observations; Crime Lab; Discovery Detection; Science of Security; and, Whodunit? It is a super fun way for your child to spark imaginative learning outside the tra- ditional school day. Mad Science is hands-on, inquiry- based, interactive and entertaining. We use trained, dy- namic instructor-presenters with professional equip- ment and materials to deliver age-appropriate, enjoy- able and enriching science activities. The children have so much fun they almost do not realize they are gaining a clear understanding of what science is and how it af- felts the world around them! We communicate real world practical uses of the science principles. Each of the six sessions includes one of our popular Make-&- Takes so enjoyed by the children and appreciated by the parents. Join us for a day at this new state park located on Rathbun Lake in south central Iowa! TRICK OR TREAT NIGHT (GHOSTLY GOOD TIMES) Trick or treat night in Norwalk will be Saturday, Oct. 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. Before you head out for a ghostly fun time in your neighborhood, be sure to stop by the Public Safety Building. From 6 to 8 p.m. you can pick up your trick-or-treat bag and play some Halloween games to win prizes and treats. You can even get your picture taken with the fire truck. This event is for chil- dren in preschool to fifth grade.
