Youth Soccer Attends Kohls American Cup The Norwalk Soccer Club had an under 8 team. Norwalk HPFC Jr's entered in the 2015 Kohls American Cup. The boys played teams from Johnston, Ames, Muscatine and North Polk. The boys played great throughout the tournament cruising through their first three games, with great team work and demonstrating their amazing pass- ing and finishing skills. In the final game the boys played a very tough North Polk team that was much bigger. With the score knotted 4-4 at half time, the boys came out ready to play in the second half. Once again using their great passing and finish- ing, along with great defense and heart the boys came away with a 94 win. Finishing the tournament 4-0, the boys are also 4-0 in league play in West Des Moines this season, after going 8-0 in the spring. "As a coach these guys are a plea- sure to coach, every week they show up 3-4 times a week ready to practice hard. They are embracing the curriculum of the Norwalk Soccer Club and as such are seeing amazing success at a young age that will continue all through their soccer journey." -Coach Brian Moede For more information on soccer in Norwalk, or how to join a team, go to Norwalk soccer.org.
