Funeral services were Monday, Oct. 26, at O’Leary Celebration of Life Center in Norwalk. Burial was in the N orwalk Cemetery. She attended Norwalk schools and raduated from Lincoln High School in Des Moines. Before retiring Hazel worked as a bus driver at the Jewish Cen— ter. She had attended the Scotch Ridge United Pres— byterian Church and was a member of the Warren County Geneological Soci- ety. Box 150 Norwalk, Iowa OBITUARY JANE KAY (CROFT) cox Jane Kay (Croft) Cox, 74, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Oct. 20, at the Kavanagh House in Des Moines. Survived by husband, Tom, of 20 years; daughter Michelle (Larry) Walker, grandson Justin (Summer), great-grand- daughter Gracelyn, grand- daughter Tara, son Don Atkinson, grandson Michael and granddaugh- ter Amanda, sister Judith (William) Carmichael, step children Jeff (Linda) Cox, Linda (Linn) West, Mike (Marlene) Cox, 12 step— grandchildren, 15 step- great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents Vergal and Vivienne Croft, grandson Andrew Walker, step- daughter Cheryl Cox Kennedy. Jane grew up in Norwalk and was a gradu- ate of Norwalk High School Class of 1959, where she played basket- ball and was homecoming queen. She was a member of the Scottish Highlander bagpipe and drum corp at University of Iowa in 1959— 1960 that traveled to Eu- rope. Jane was a manager at Blue Cross and Blue Shield for 26 years. Upon retire—- ment she and Tom loved to Jane Kay (Croft) Cox travel the United States in their motor home - spent winters in Arizona and summer visits to Lake Okoboji. She enjoyed cooking, ceramics, garden— ing and spending time with her grandchildren. Jane will be forever in the hearts of her family. As per Jane’s request there will be no service. The family would appre- ciate memorials in Jane’s name sent to HCI Care Ser- vices, 2910 lNestown Pkwy Suite 200, West Des' Moines, IA 50266. The wonderful staff there pro- vided excellent care and comfort for Jane the past two weeks. A leaf will be added to their Tree of Life in Jane’s memory. OBITUARY ASHLEY R. DUTCHER Ashley R. Dutcher, 30, passed away Saturday, Oct. 17, in Des Moines. Ashley was born on March 2, 1985 in Des Moines, to Karen and Dean Dutcher. Ashley was stricken with Scleroderma when she was 17. Through it all she maintained a positive atti- tude, a strong willingness to live and a deep commit- ment to the following or- ganizations: Warren County Saddle Club, War- ren County Quarter Horse Assoc, Heartland Chapter Scleroderma Foundation of Des Moines, Sclero- derma Support Group and the Warren County 4H. Ashley also held many awards and honors; in— cluding 2014 Iowa Horse Fair Special Needs Cow- girl Queen. Ashley was recently at DMACC to earn her de- gree in photography. Ashley had a deep com- passion for all animals. She loved her family and friends. Most important were her three nieces who were the loves of her life. Ashley is survived by her mother Karen Dutcher of Indianola; father, Dean Dutcher (Terry) of Indianola; sister, Casey (Mark) Gripp of Ft. Wain- wright, AK; nieces, Jaedyn, Avrie and Devyn Gripp; step brothers, Jeremy Godrey of Omaha, NE, Ben Godrey (Rita) of Ashley R. Dutcher Norwalk, Andrew Godrey of Urbandale, Zach Minyard of lr;dianola; grandparents. Herb and Ruth Dutcher of indianola,‘ numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Ashley was preceded in death by Robert and Esther Preston of Carlisle. In lieu of flowers the fam- ily wishes for donations to go to the Ashley Dutcher memorial fund or Go Fund Me. A visitation was held Wednesday, Oct. 21, at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle. . A Celebration of Life service was held Thursday, Oct. 22, at the First United Methodist Church in Indianola.
