BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby
move to abate the current taxes in the amount of $526.00 and to waive the
future assessment of taxes on the property owned by the City of New
Virginia. Carded unanimously.
RESOLUTION 07 - 482 PAY INCREASE IN HEALTH SERVICES
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby
move to approve the pay increase for Melissa Carruthers to $11.21 per hour
effective July 1, 2007Jo follow with the pay matrix for the Health Services
Department. Carded unanimously.
RESOLUTION 07 - 483 APPROVE 8 TM PAYMENT TO KELLER
EXCAVATING
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby
approve to pay the 6= payment of $23,583.75 to Keller Excavating and
authorize the Chair to sign. Carded unanimously.
RESOLU'flON 07 - 484 ABATEMENT OF TAXES
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, property taxes in the amount of $30.00 on parcel
number 29000080649 be abated due to Railroad Right Of Way owned by
Warren County. Carded unanimously.
RESOLUTION 07 - 485 ABATEMENT OF TAXES
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, property tax in the amount of $3,123.52 be abated
on parcel number 48020130190 and $6,186.92 on parcel number
48020130200. These are real estate parcels purchased by Warren County
from Peoples Savings Bank. Carded unanimously.
RESOLUTION 07 - 486 ABATEMENT OF TAXES
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the taxes on the mobile home of Junking
Certificate Number 590105106, in the amount of $316.00 be abated, and the
Treasurer is hereby directed to strike all reference to this mobile home from
the records of Warren County. Carded unanimously.
RESOLUTION 07 - 467 ABATEMENT OF TAXES
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the taxes on the mobile home of Title Number
91W146834, in the amount of $214.00 be abated. Carried unanimously.
RESOLUTION 07 - 488 SIX MONTH REVIEW
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors herbey
move to approve the six month pay increase for LuAnn Kappelman in the
Treasurer's Office to $14.19 per hour effective September 21, 2007. Carded
unanimously.
RESOLUTION 07 - 489 APPOINTMENT OF DEPUTIES
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby
appoint Merrie Foutch as 1= Deputy to Motor Vehicle for a period to coincide
with the term of the County Treasurer unless revoked and appoint David
Mitchell as 1= Deputy to Ddver's License to coincide with the term of the
County Treasurer unless revoked. Carded unanimously.
RESOLUTION 07- 490 COC RATE INCREASES
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby
approve the initial rate increase for COC, as shown in the requested rate
spreadsheet submitted by COC, effective October 1, 2007. This increase is
specifically approved to increase direct support staff wages.
COC also requested rate increases on the same spreadsheet, effective
January 1, 2008, which the Board did not approve. Carded unanimously.
RESOLUTION 07-491 EXCEPTION TO POLICY
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby
approve Consumer 2907 as an exception of policy for 10 hours per week for
supported community living for up to 8 weeks the reason being she-is
residing in a nursing home and reduces the cost to bring her back onto the
waiver program. Carded unanimously.
RESOLUTION 0 7- 492 TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES
BE IT RESOLVED THAT the following roads be temporarily closed for
crossroad pipe replacement:
Hoover Street between 70" Avenue/Hoover Street and R57 Hwy/Hempstead
Street, September 17, 2007;
Between R57 Hwy/lllinois Street and 90" Avenue/Indiana Street, September
20, 2007; and
113" Avenue south Of Lucas Place, September 26, 2007. Carded
unanimously.
RESOLUTION 07 -493 GRANULAR SURFACING PETITION
WHEREAS, a Secondary Road Assessment Distdct Petition was filed for
the placement of granular surfacing on the following described section of
Local Secondary Road:
Beginning at the NW Comer of Section 8, T 75 N, R 22 W; thence south
approximately 1450 feet to a point 50 feet past the driveway into the SW ,
NW,Sac. 8, T 75N R 22W; and, :.
WHEREAS, the petition, as filed, meets all requirements; now,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT, on a motion by Bob Sandy, second
by Marvin Grace, that the petition for the placement of granular surfacing be
accepted, programmed when funds are available, and following completion,
be accepted as a granular surfaced road by Warren County to maintain in
the future. Carded unanimously.
SIMPLE MOTION by Marvin Grace, second by Kevin Middleswart to amend
the fringe benefits and correct them with Scott Ourth, 2 meals at $27.26. Two
Ayes, Supervisor Sandy absent at that time.

discuss Health Insurance Renewal: This meeting was discussion only, no
action was taken.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby
move to close the public portion of the hearing. Carded unanimously.
RESOLUTION 07 - 495 REVISED ZONING OR SUBDWSlON
ORDINANCE
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warien County Board of Supervisors hereby
move to approve a proposed change by the Warren County ZoningDirector
to the June 26, 2006 Warren County Iowa, Revised Zoning and Subdivision
Ordinances. The amendment is on Page 273, Chapter 46, Section 46.09
SUBDIVISON DESIGN STANDARDS. Add D. Subdivisions with more than
four (4) lots shall be located on paved County or State Highways, (If the
proposed subdivision is on a Grade A or Grade B County road, that road
shall be paved to the interconnecting paved road by the developer to the
Warren County Engineers standards prior to platting.) Carded unanimously.

RESOLUTION 07-496 USE OFAUDITORIUM
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby
move to approve Barack Obama's request to use the auditonum Friday
October 12, 2007 in case of rain, from 11:00 a,m; to 3:00 p.m. Carded
unanimously.

RESOLUTION 07-497 USE OF ADMINISTRATION BUILDING
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Warren County Board of Supervisors hereby
move to authorize the Board Secretary to approve the use of the
Administration Building facilities by Political Candidates and Elected Officials
subject to scheduling and signing of the damage release. Carded
unanimously.
