OBITUARY
Madalene Lane, 81,
Norwalk died peacefully
November 3rd, at
Unity Point Iowa Metho-
dist Medical Center in
Des Moines, Iowa.
Madalene Carol, the
daughter and youngest of
four children born to
Paul Dale and Myrtle
Mae (Bancroft) Cameron,
was born five miles south
of Scranton, Iowa in a
farmhouse in rural
Greene County. She grew
up alongside her siblings,
Marvel, Janice and La
Verne. She started school
in Bayard and continued
her education in the
Indianola school system,
then graduated from
Norwalk High School
with the Class of 1957.
She met the love of her
life, Jack Ronald Lane,
While in school and they
were united in marriage
on July 14th, 1957 at the
United Methodist Chur—
ch in Norwalk. To this
union they had three
children, Randy, Rusty,
and Sandra. Madalene
worked as a homemaker
until 1978 when she went
to Work at the Norwalk
Middle School as a
secretary and student
monitor, retiring in 1998.

Where her children,
grandchildren and great
grandchildren were
involved. She enjoyed
watching sports with
Jack, attending auto
races in Newton, being
involved with the Za-Ga-
Zig Shrine activities,
Norwalk Fire Ladies
Auxiliary, being with her
family camping in their
travel trailer, loved
working in the yard and
tending to her flower
garden, and her dogs,
Peppi and Choco.
Madalene was pre-
ceded in death by her
parents and her two
sisters. She will lovingly
be remembered by her
husband, Jack, her
children, Randy (Patti) of
Indianola, Rusty (Roxy)
of Newton, and Sandra
(Tom) Jensen of Minne-
apolis, MN; her brother
LaVerne (Carrol) Cam-
eron of Milo, IA; 9
grandchildren, Jason
(Amanda), Joshua (Bran-
dy), Jeremy (Amanda Jo),
Mitchell (Kendra), Monica
(Travis), Allison, Kara
(Chris), Jayme, and
Michael (Ann); and 22
great-grandchildren.
A graveside service
was held November 7th
at Sunset Memorial
Gardens in Des Moines.

AMY HENDRICKS
Amy Hendricks, 56,
Norwalk, passed away
peacefully Wednesday
morning, September
30th, in Des
Moines, Iowa after a long
illness.
Amy was born June
1st, 1964 in Council
Bluffs, Iowa to Earl &
Shirley Crum. She was
united in marriage to
Patrick Hendricks in
1992. Together they
raised four strong, good
looking children —
Matthew, Hannah,
Thomas, & Nathan.
In addition to her
immediate family, she is
survived by her mother
Shirley, her sister Vicky,
and four grandchildren.
A Visitation was held
for the family on October
2nd, She will be
forever loved & never
forgotten!

Current Operating Practices
WarrenCounty Nutrition Will continue to deliver
meals to the elderly, but with a few changes. The
meals will be in bags and hung on the door. The driver
will knock and then walk away. We are no longer
permitted to walk into a participant’s home. You must
be home to get a meal delivered to you.
If you would like to participate in home delivery of
meals, please call 641-764-2736 for details.
The meal site itself (for dine-in service) is
closed until further notice. .

Central College Ceramics Exhibit
An exhibit featuring current resident artists of the
Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio Will run
through November 20th at the Mills Gallery in the
Lubbers Center for the Visual Arts on the campus of
Central College.
The exhibit is titled “(un)comfort” and Will feature
two pieces by eight artists. One piece will showcase
their typical work, While the other pushes their
boundaries.
The Mills Gallery is open from 9 am. to 5 pm. M-F.
