pink ribbon in honor of Cancer
WEEK
The Norwalk High School cheerleaders participated in the Race for the Cure. The
girls volunteered.to cheer at the end of the race. The girls are coached by Sheena
Smitley and Heather Fitzpatrick.
This year the middle school's Red Ribbon Week's theme was "Don't Be a Zero. Be
a Hero." Students dressed as a hero one day and created a wall of comic heroes.
Norwalk Middle School cheerleaders volunteered to cheer at the Race for the Cure
in Des Moines. They joined the high school cheerleaders for the first time. Coach
Lynda Downs, Sheena Smitley and Heather Fitzpatrick are extremely proud of
their positive leadership and support for the cancer run.
