Visitors will have the opportunity to stroll about festively decorated tables and select favorite holiday cookies and candies. All are assured to leave with a package (or two) full of wonderful holiday treats, all for $5.50 per pound. "Norwalk Food Pantry...Help Sink Hunger! Sink the Boat!" At this time of year as area residents give thanks for our blessings it's also time to remember those less fortunate. A Norwalk community group with the help of Lake- wood and Oviatt Elementary Schools are running operation "Sink the Boat," for the Norwalk Food Pantry. Look for the boat on: Thursday, Dec. 2 at Lakewood Elementary; Friday, Dec. 3 at Oviatt Elementary; Saturday, Dec. 4 at Fareway and Sunday, Dec. 5 at Scott's Foods. Please do not send frozen food, refrigerator food, or paper products. Some needed items are canned meats, fruit and vegetables. Other suggestions are pasta, sauces, cereal, peanut butter, jelly and soup. Let's work together and "Sink the Boat!" In-addition to having holiday sweets available, there will be a host of craft and vendor booths for guests to peruse and shop. Call 911 for emergencies!
