Official: Publication for the Norwalk Community School District Norwalk Warriors Page Eight N/Warren Town and County News Thursday, November 30, 2017 NHS Activities By A1 Lammers, Athletic Director The winter season has Officially begun. The Warrior Girls Basketball Team opened the season hosting the ADM Tigers in a JV and varsity non-conference doubleheader. The Warrior Bowling Team opened their season with a triangular match with DSM Roosevelt and Dowling Catholic at Val Lanes. Warrior fans are reminded that all passes whether they are family, adult, student, or retirement must physically be shown to gain admission to any event. Passes as a picture on a phone will NOTbe accepted. Bowling: The Warriors opened their season November 21st in a triangular match with WDSM Dowling Catholic and DSM Roosevelt. Boys Basketball: The Warriors participated in the Hall of Pride Challenge in Indianola on November 21st. The Warriors played Knoxville, and kicked off the regular season when they hosted Ballard as part of a G & B Varsity doubleheader at home on November 28th. Girls Basketball: The Warriors officiailY opened their season when they hosted the ADM Tigers in a non-conference season opener. Wrestling: The Warrior Wrestling team will open their season with a Little Hawkeye Conference duel at DCG on November 30th. Students Create Golf Ball Art Piece Mayor Tom Phillips presented certificates of appreciation to Norwalk High School Art students Alicia Kallhoff, Alli Kreider, Hanna Chang, Kseniya Herelyuk, Emma Burnett, and Art Teacher Angela Davidson for creating an awesome golf ball art piece for the City of Norwalk. A lot of hard work, creativity, and talent was put into creating the golf ball. Awesome job ladies!!! 2017 INA All-State Football Teams Announced The Iowa Newspaper Association announced its 20i7 All-State Football team selections on November 21st. Selections were made by 105 Iowa Newspaper Association members, which included North Warren Town & County News i " Drew Rosonke, a senior from Norwalk High School, was one of the players named to the team.
