Christmas Program
A Sunday school Christmas Program will be held at
Norwalk United Methodist Church, 1801 Sunset Dr.,
Sunday, Dec. 8, at 10:45 a.m.
Come and enjoy the blessing of the children as they
share the Good News! Great Joy! of Jesus' birth. Plan to
stay and enjoy a birthday party to honor Jesus. Then,
join us as we go caroling.
St. Paul Lutheran Trees,
Tastes And Trimmings
Members of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Martensdale
will hold their annual Trees, Tastes and Trimmings Sat-
urda Dec. 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The congregation
currently meets at Assumption Catholic Church and the
event will be held at the church hall, 2840 South St. in
ChurchviUe.
A chili and soup luncheon will be served and home-
made Christmas cookies and candy will be sold by the
pound. There will also be a display of trees and free
cookies and warm cider will be served. A number of
vendors will also be present to assist customers with
their holiday shopping.
The new church will be completed shortly, so next
year the event will once again be held at the church in
Martensdale. Fire in October of 2011 destroyed the origi-
nal building.
Setting a good example for children takes all the fun
out of middle age.
