OBITUARY JUDITH ANN PENDRY FRASER Services were held in Des Moines Wednesday, --Nov. 26, for Judith "Judy" Ann Pendry Fraser, 76, Des Moines, who died Sunday, Nov. 23, at Parkridge Nursing & Re- hab Center in Pleasant Hill. Mrs. Fraser was born December 13, 1937 in Des Moines. She graduated from Lincoln High School and attended UNI and DMACC. She-was a nurse for Crystal Inc. and The Blood Center of Central Iowal After retirement, she returned to work for her son at Fraser Ambulance and Wheelchair Service. She enjoyed her family, friends, her dog, Buddy and also readi ,g. Survivors include her children and grandchil- dren, Carol (Brian) Jones of Redfield; Julie Fraser (Todd Schmitz) of Festus, MO and her chii dren, Judith Ann Pendry Fraser and his children, Jessica, Bobby and Matt; John (Renee) raser of Norwalk and their children, Nick, Will and Jina; Eric Fraser of Norwalk and his chil- dren, Laura and Ryan; and great-granddaughter, Chanel. She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Richard Q. Fraser; her parents, Robert and Irene Pendry; and her brothers, Jim and Don Pendry. OBITUARY EARL "JOE" HARRIS Funeral Services were held Monday, Dec. 8, at O'Leary Celebration of Life Center - Funeral & Cremation Services in Norwalk for Earl "Joe" Harris, 92, Norwalk. Buri- al was in the Linn Grove Cemeter3 rural Norwalk. Masonic Service was held Sunday, Dec. 7, at O'Leary's. Earl "Joe" Harris, 92, Norwalk, was born De- cember 31, 1921 in Coon Rapids. Joe was raised near Coon Rapids, attend- ing rural schools. He moved to Des Moines at a young age. He was mar- ried to Mary Shuff and to this union had four chil- dren, James, Linda, Janice and Jean. He was later married to Karen Bassett and to this union had a daughter, Janelle. He moved his family to the Norwalk area in 1975. Joe owned several busi- nesses. He was a proud union man and member of Ironworker Local 67 for over 60 years, of which 20 years he was a Business Agent. Joe served on the board of the Tradesmen Credit Union for several years. He was a member of the Gnemeth Masonic Lodge 577 A.F. & A.M. He attended and was a mem- ber of Fellowship Commu- nity Church in Norwalk for several years. Joe and Karen enjoyed going to the car races in Indianola. His favorite place to eat was at Burger Earl "Joe" Harris King. His family enjoyed his witty sense of humor, his quirky little stories and ditties. Joe continued to live at home all of these years with his wife, Karen. Wednesday evening, Dec. 3, Joe passed away unexpectedly. He would have celebrated his 93rd birthday this New Year's Eve. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John Ayers; and a sister, Lois Ackleson. Joe is survived by his wife, Karen of Norwalk; his children, James (Sue) Harris of Des Moines, Lin- da McCool of Des Moines, Janice (John) McKinney of Des Moines, Jean Gerace of Pennsylvania and Janelle (Joe) Van Pilsum of Norwalk; many grand, great and great-great grandchildren; two broth- ers, Francis "Jim" Harris and Jerry Ayers; and a sis- ter, Mary Lou Carter.
