The Ellsworth Commu- nity College Horse Judg- ing Team earned a top ten placing at the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) World Champi- onship Show Thursday, Nov. 21, in Oklahoma City, OK. Three members of the team also earned indi- vidua placings at the pres- tigious international com- petition. The ECC Horse Judging Team judged 12 classes and gave six sets of rea- sons. The team placed 6th in Performance, 6th in Rea- sons, 7th in Halter and 7th Overall. The AQHA World Championship Show in- cluded 26 teams and 95 individuals competing in the regular division and 33 individuals competing in the limited division. ECC team members in- cluded Bailey Collins of Ames; Scarlett Hanson of Cambria, WI; Emily Miller of CoIo; Taylor Morgan of New Provi- dence; Katie Rinkert of Prole and Victoria Roh- wer of Anchorage, AK. They were coached by ECC Equine Associate Professor Megan Gogerty. Individually, Rinkert placed 6th High indi- vidual Overall Limited, 7th Reasons Limited and 7th Performance Limited. Rohwer placed 10th High Individual Overall Limited, 9th Reasons Limited and 8th Halter Limited.
