The Warren County Se- nior 4-H organization of Iowa State University Ex- tension and Outreach War- ren County, hosted the 2015 Awards Ceremony. 4- H'ers were honored based upon their project work personal growth and their record-keeping skills. Members earned this rec- ognition through their per- sonal achievement. Top seniors were Jaden Schurman, member of Whitebreast 4-H Club and son of Stephan and Bev Schurman of Lacona, and Hannah, member of Carl- isle Trail Blazers and daughter of Tim and Jaden Schurman, Hannah McCoy, Cassie Brown, Justin Overmann and Jordan Henry. Kathy McCoy of Carlisle. The 4-H program has a long history of record keeping. The focus reflects the importance of this life skill in our daily lives. In 4-H, young people have tracked their activities, events, profits and losses, skill development, learn- ing experiences and much more using the iconic 4-H Record Book. In addition to record keeping, the 4-H Record Book gives mem- bers an opportunity to re- flect on their year, measure their achievements and growth, set goals and de- velop plans to achieve those goals. In addition, the 2015 Heifer awards were given to Vance Ohnemus, son of Duane and MaryJo Ohne- mus of Milo, and Selia Becker, daughter of Daran and Stephanie Becker of Indianola champion heif- ers at the 2015 Warren County Fair.
