WALSH Services were held Monda Dec. 9, at Willow Creek Baptist Church in West Des Moines for Patrick A. Walsh, 51, Des Moines, who died Thurs= day, Dec. 5, at Iowa Meth- odist Medical Center in Des Moines. Burial was at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines. Mr. Walsh was born in Des Moines :January 5, 1962 to James and Betty Walsh. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1980 and from Drake Uni- versity in 1985. He was a Senior Circulation Market- ing Analyst at August Home Publishing Com- pany. He enjoyed travel- ing, golfing, photography and beating everyone at a game of pool. He loved spending time with his family and was a devoted husband, father and loved his Lord and Savior. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Marguer- ite; sons, Scan of Orlando, FL and Skylar of Des Moines; four siblings, Diana (Tom) Davisson of Denver, CO, Kathy (Mark) Mattiussi of Norwalk, Mark (Kim) Walsh of Tuc- son, AZ and Matt Walsh of Atlanta, GA; eight neph- ews and nieces; two great- nephews and one great- niece. Burial was in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Orilla. Mr. Dougherty was born in St. Louis, MO No- vember 26, 1942 to Frank and Mabel Dougherty. He lived most of his life in Cumming and was a graduate of Norwalk High. School He worked for Rotella's Italian Bakery for 25 years. He loved garden- ing and playing golf. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Sharon; children, Ben (lulie) of Kansas City, MO, Tim (Cindy) of Altoona, Christy (Ed) Devlin of Norwalk, Mike of Louis- ville, KY, Tony of Kansas City, MO and Tracy (Jeff) Rice of Council Bluffs; 16 grandchildren; one great- grandchild; six stepchil- dren and nine step-great- grandchildren; and sisters, Twyla McNair, Frankie Webb and Santha Sukut. OBITUARY DONNA PAULLIN Donna Paullin, 75, Norwalk, died Sunday, Dec. 8. She was born Au- gust 19, 1938. Survivors include her daughter, Peggy (Jim); grandchildren, Melanie (Mario) and Jason (Chey- enne) and 11 great-grand- children. Daniel David Papich OBITUARY DANIEL DAVID PAPICH Services were held Sat- urday, Dec. 7, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Des Moines for Daniel David Papich, 77, Norwalk. He died Mon- da Dec. 2, from compli- cations of a stroke the pre- vious week. Burial was at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines. Mr. Papich was born August 5, 1936 in Albia to Elna G. (Lucas) and David E Papich. They moved to Lovilla where he was raised and Went to Lovilla school, graduating in 1954 The family belonged to St. Peter's Catholic Church in Lovilla, where he devel- oped his deep and pro- found faith. "He worked at the Veteran's Hospital in Knoxville and then moved to Des Moines in Decem- ber 1961. He started work- ing at Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, retiring in 1995. He married Bette Rae Hannam April 18, 1964. They have four children, Diana Calhoun of Omaha, NE, Maria (Chip) Wittem of West Des Moines, Dave (Sarah) Papich of Norwalk and Tom (Keli) Papich of Waukee; ten grandchil- dren, Chase Calhoun, Mia, Trey, Cole and Blaise Wittern, Gage, Hadley and Jack Papich, Grace Papich and Baby Boy Papich (due anytime). Mr. Papich was a mem- ber of The Croatian Frater- nal Lodge for 45 years, tak- ing pride in his Croatian heritage and frequently speaking dialed of the lan- guage. He loved being sur= rounded by his family and enjoyed their various projects. He loved garden- ing, picking and cracking walnuts, fishing, sitting in a treestand or mushroom hunting, as well as watch- ing the sunset. Survivors include his wife Bette of 49 years; his four children and their spouses; 10 grandchildren; brother, Mick Papich; sis- ters, JoAnne Feldmann, Marlene (Bob) Terrell, Connie (Joe) Sinnott and Mary Jo Papich; nieces and nephews. He was preceded_ in death by his parents, David and Elna Papich; brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Lenore Papich; grandparents, Memorials may be George and Anna made to St. Jude Children's (Mitrisin) Lucas, and Hospital or Christ the Stanislav and Angelina King Catholic Church.
