Providing Christmas
in Warren County
As Christmas is fast approaching, we are reminded
that there are many families in the Norwalk
community that are experiencing difficult times. For
at least the past 5 years, the Ministerial Association,
along with some businesses and community groups,
have partnered with the schools and Operation
Christmas in Warren County. Our hope is to help
families during those difficult financial times by
helping to provide necessity and gift items for each
child along with a family need or two.
By'partnering, we are able to reach more families
together and to keep from any one family receiving
from multiple places. We do ask for suggestions from
each family and try to tailor the gifts for each child’s
own preferences.
If you would like to participate in this spirit of
giving, please consider making a donation to the
Norwalk Ministerial Association with ‘Christmas
Project’ noted in the memo line. Any amount would
be much appreciated. We are estimating our needed
shortfall to be around $5000. A monetary donation
can be either dropped off at Norwalk Christian
Church, 701 Main St. (office is open Monday- Friday
9:00 am-noon) or contact Crystal Ellis (515-491-1241),
volunteer coordinator of the Christmas Project, to
pick up the donation. (If you would prefer to purchase
items, she can also give you a list of some of the items
requested.) The Norwalk Ministerial Association is
a nonprofit organization and can provide a donation
letter upon request.
Thank you very much for considering participating
in this wonderful way to help bless Norwalk families
this Christmas.
