Thursday, December 23, 2010 N/Warren Town and County News Page Five Norwalk Library Following are the Norwalk Easter Public Li- brary Minutes of the regu- lar meeting held Novem- ber 15, 2010. - The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Tom Dunn, at 6:30 p.m. Roll call was taken with Clyde Sievers, Jordyn Hill, Tom Dunn and Andrea Johnson re- sponding to roll. Dick Schreiber and Donna Kitterman were not in at- tendance. Library Director Julie Wells was also present. - There were no guests. Review of Change Agenda- Clyde Sievers made a motion that the agenda be approved as written with a second by Jordyn Hill. Motion passed by unanimous voice vote. Review Last Meetings Minutes - Jordyn Hill moved that the minutes of the October 11, 2010 meet- ing be approved with a second by Clyde Sievers. Motion passed by unani- mous voice vote. - The bills were approved by unani- mous written consent. Director&apos;s Report - 63 patrons registered; 6,795 items circulated; 5,215 visi- tors. Budget proposal is due December 1. If board mbers have any re- (es'ts, please talk to Julie Wells. Julie Wells gave a report of how Indianola and Urbandale are utilizing Mongo, a language com- puter program. A repre- sentative of Recorded Books offers a "stronger" language program. Julie Wells will contact him. Tabled. Melody Bockholt has resigned from the staff- Julie Wells has begun ad- vertising for her replace- Minutes ment. Santa and reindeer will be at the library on De- cember 7 t" from 6 to 8 p.m. Old Business - Trea- surer Andrea Johnson re- ported that the budget is at 38% and on target for the year. Tom Dunn, Founda- tion, will be picking up the coin jars soon from businesses. New Business - Trustee vacancy to the board-Julie Wells has a couple of applications and will be forwarding them to the city council shortly. Keyless entry system- Julie Wells had two quotes from Walsh Door and Hardware and CI. She will check with city hall to see which system they use. Tabled. Adjournment - Chair- person Tom Dunn re- quested a motion for ad- journment. Andrea Johnson moved that the meeting be adjourned with a second by Jordyn Hill. Motion passed by unanimous voice vote.
