Seek Military Addresses for Holiday Project
Members of the Cumming American Legion Post and Auxiliary #562 are request-
ing Norwalk-Cumming citizens to contact them as soon as possible with mailing
addresses of Norwalk-Cumming area connected men and women currently serving
full-time or part-time in the military, both in the US and overseas. Please provide
addresses of where they will be stationed from Thanksgiving through Christmas.
Include your name, email and phone number in case of questions.
Proceeds from the Auxiliary's only fundraising project, (the distribution at our
local grocery stores of "poppies" around Memorial Day) fund this annual holiday
project. Greeting cards will be sent to each soldier and their family. In addition, a PX/
BX gift card will be sent to each soldier who has served overseas sometime during
the 2010 year. This project includes any who are related to area citizens or who have
been discharged since December 2009.
As time allows, the groups do their best to encourage service men and women
throughout the year via greeting cards. Please get addresses to Janet Tracy, Aux.
President, at 981-0616, jkaytracy@gmail.com, or mailed to her at 604 Gordon Ave.,
Norwalk, IA 50211.
